We slowly sail into smoother seas but it’s often been difficult to walk and until today the deck doors firmly shut and our hearts can only begin to lift now we are becoming free of the storms. As Martin Luther said

"The human heart is like a ship on a stormy sea driven about by winds blowing from all four corners of heaven"

Today's weather chart shows those northern and western storms we have been avoiding

We have started on our Murder Mystery theme with the first of a re-enactment of how the courts and justice systems operated in the Victorian and Edwardian periods. Alan Cutler plays Judge, prosecution and defence with passengers as jury. The first real life case was the murder trial of Major Herbert Armstrong who it was claimed attempted to kill a colleague and later murdering his wife both with arsenic poisoning – we found him guilty as he was art the time and he was executed. Later in the cruise we will find out if there was a subsequent twist in the tale!
